How To Operate

Barcode

Here, you will make settings for each trace target used in the project.
For example, you can set individual barcodes for cargo, pallets, parts, products, etc.

Basic Settings

You can add barcodes with “+barcode”.A

(1) Enter the Barcode name and Code* of the barcode type (trace target).B
(2) Select the Icon and Background color. (optional)C

– Example: The barcode type (tracing target) is [ carton ] [ pallet ] and [ shelf ].

* ・Please set “Code*1″ and “Barcode name” arbitrarily.
・The Code is alphanumeric only, and spaces cannot be entered.
・The same code cannot be used in one project. (the same name can be used.)
・Except when creating a new code, the code is automatically generated, but you can change it to any code.

*1: The code is a management code for the recorded data, and is used for data item names, report output, and validation settings when downloading data, so please set an easy-to-understand code.

Start Tracking PointA

Set for each trace target.
*You can also set multiple starting tracking points.
・Tracking point data is managed by the number (0~3) following the tracking point name.
・When issuing a barcode based on a CSV file, specify the starting tracking point as a number.

Activation Time Settings

For each type of barcode (trace target), set the basic information to be entered.

(1) “Reuse”Aif you check the box, the input information will be retained when the barcode is reused.
(2) “Custom field”Bis the same as the setting method for tracking points.
*Custom field to be recorded by the tracking point.

Hints
If either an electronic signature or a file is required in “Custom field”, you cannot upload in CSV format.

Tracking Number

“Tracking number” can also be used when searching for barcodes.
The “tracking number” can be set by any rule.
“Default value”A is the identifier that appears before the tracking number. (fixed alphanumeric)
If you check “Is Unique”, Byou will not be able to generate barcodes* with the same tracking number.

*Unique IDs is automatically set for each barcode, so there is no problem even if there are duplicate tracking numbers.
  “Barcode ID” ≠ “Tracking number”

Hints
We recommend that you set the tracking number so that it is easy to understand.

External IDA

You can trace barcodes or QR codes that are already printed. By importing the identifier (referred to as External ID) stored in these barcodes or QR codes as basic information, one-dimensional codes like JAN, CODE39, and ITF can also be traced as SmartBarcode.

External ID ExtractionA

You can extract the necessary parts from an external ID.
There are three extraction methods:
・Character String: Extracts a portion based on specified starting and ending characters.
・Delimiter: For IDs separated by characters like “,” or “|”, you can specify which part to extract based on the delimiter type and position.
・Conditional Statement: Extracts based on regular expression conditions.
▼Example of Character String Extraction
(1) Select “Character String”Aas the extraction method.
(2) Choose the target custom field.B
(3) Specify the character position for extractionCand click the confirmation button.D
(4) Press the “Test” Ebutton on the confirmation modal to verify correct extraction.
▼Example of Delimiter-Based Extraction
(1) Select “Delimiter” Aas the extraction method.
(2) Choose the target custom field.B
(3) Enter the delimiterCand the part you want to extractD, then click the confirmation button.E
(4) Press the “Test” Fbutton on the confirmation modal to verify correct extraction.

Bulk Tracking Available Tracking Point

If the tracking points record the same information, multiple barcodes can be traced at once.

(1) Select the tracking points that you want to allow bulk tracking.A
(2) You can also set a limit on the number of bulk tracking.B
*When there is a limit on the quantity of one package, etc.

Link Tracking Point Settings

In “Link Tracking Point Settings,” Ayou can configure barcode links.
A barcode link connects a primary barcode to other barcodes, allowing you to check the information of linked barcodes from the primary one.
(1) If this is the primary barcode, select the tracking point to be linked.
(2) If you want to allow another barcode to link, enter the check.B
[ Information to be displayed by linked barcode ]C
Select whether to display the information at the time of linking or the latest updated information when the linked barcode information is updated.

* Barcode linking is to link another barcode to the main barcode.
You can check the information of another barcode from the primary barcode.

Pairing Settings

“Pairing” is the establishment of a parent-child relationship between individual barcodes.
Set the parent barcode to be paired with the child barcode.
(pallets and cargo, containers and pallets, etc.)
Scanning the parent barcode automatically updates the information in the child barcode.

[ Pair or Unpair ]A
You can set the barcode as “Parent barcode” or “Child barcode”.
If you uncheck it, it will be canceled.
[ Pairing tracking point ]B
You can set up tracking points that can be paired.
* You can set the barcode to “Only if it is the parent barcode”.
[ Unpair tracking point ]C
You can set a tracking point that can be unpaired.

* You can set the barcode to “Only if it is the parent barcode”.
* Cancel pairing is set when you want to cancel the parent-child relationship and continue tracing (including re-pairing) the child barcode.

Configuring Additional Tracking Features

As additional functions, the following settings can be made.
[ Trackpoint restrict route ]A
You can configure not to trace between tracking points.
[ Tracking remarks display ]B
You can set the remarks column on the display screen on the smartphone (app).C
[ Tracking notification ]D
You will be notified by email or sms when it is traced.

Barcode recycle setting

If you set “Barcode reuse”, you can trace the same barcode repeatedly.
(It can be used in returnable boxes and containers.)
Even after reuse, you can check the history of past traces.
[ Recycle barcode ]A
Check if you want to enable reuse.
[ Track points allowed to trigger Barcode Recycle ]B
On the device, select the tracking point where you want the reuse button to appear.
[ Track point to go back on Barcode Recycle ]C
Select the tracking point you want to return after reuse.

Setting Up Default Display Settings

Here you can set the information that is publicly available.

Display UI Settings

You can select “Visible/Hidden” from the device display settings by radio buttons.A

Custom Validation Settings

You can set the validation when you link barcodes and pair.
Match recorded and trace information between each barcode, and if inappropriate, display an error message and limit tracking.

Validation settings are made at the time of barcode linking (main barcode) and pairing (parent barcode).
It is effective in preventing erroneous shipment and misloading.
(1) Click “+ Add rule”A

(2) Select the timing (tracking, pairing, barcode linking).B
(3) When tracing, select a route and set the comparison conditions (match data).C
Multiple conditions can be set in “⊕”.
(4) Select a compare method.D
(5) Enter a message to display when an error occurs.E

Set Up Delivery Custom Content A

You can set the content that is displayed when the barcode that has finished tracing is read.

Report Output

You can output images, text, etc. Acquired during tracing in any format.A

Connect External Web API

An external web API is available.B

Contact Registration

By registering email addresses and phone numbers in advance, they will appear as selectable options when setting “Phone Number” or “Email” during tracking setup, saving time from manual input.
